IT Security Training and Outreach
Information Security Training and Outreach is the focus area that addresses the weakest link in the quest for a secure environment - people. Employees are a top cause of data breaches, often through carelessness. Through effective security training, we hope to transform our FSU population into the University's first line of defense in support of information security and privacy.
- ISPO team members are available to make presentations to groups such as the UITMs and at conferences on infosec and privacy subjects.
- A major ISPO initiative is the purchase of an innovative online security training program that we can offer to faculty, staff, and students.
- ISPO can work with technical staff to select security training especially suited to their expertise, or facilitate on premise classes in technical subjects such as network security.
